(body was that of an unembalmed, well-developed, well-nourished young adult female between 16 and 18 years of age that measures 5’10» in length and weighs about 110 to 120 pounds. The body was naked, and it was covered by multiple leaves, twigs, clusters, and clumps of dirt and caked mud. Scalp hair color is dark brown, 15» to 17» long, parted in the middle, pubic hair is brown. The auxiliary hair had been recently shaved, and the growth of it was less than 1/8»; the eyes were brown, the shoe size was 7E. There was a linear scar on the anterior-lateral aspect of the mid-third of the left forearm that measures ½” in length. The autopsy further reveals complexion that is fair to medium with solar hyper pigmentation of the skin of the face, neck, chest, abdomen, upper and lower extremities with areas of non-tanning of the skin in the nape and inter-scapular regions of the back. There is superficial, irregular, linear abrasion of the skin of the anterior aspect of the neck immediately below the level of the thyroid bone that measures ¾” in length and has a maximum width of 1/8». There irregular, bloodless abrasions of the left pectoral region immediately below the breast, the anterior – lateral aspect of the right hemi thorax and inner aspect of the right arm in the area that has an overall measurement of 4 ¾” x ¾». There is an irregular bloodless abrasion of the anterior aspect of the left thigh extending from immediately above the left knee cap… there are abrasions of both… feet… the inner aspect of the skin of the thighs next to the labia majora of the vulva shows a «chaffed» bright red surface. There are bloodless abrasions of the right deltoid region that measures 2 ½” in diameter… The subungual region of all fingers in both hands show considerable amount of bright red hemorrhage. The palmer aspect of the fingers is dry and wrinkled and has a dark red-purple appearance. There is an irregular linear abrasion of the right half of the lower lip that measures 3 ½” by 2 ½.» Further description of the neck injuries reveal that, tied to the yellow metal chain that forms a ligature around the neck is a brown colored stocking and woven with it are strands of the 15» to 17» long dark brown hair. Examination of the neck organs reveal considerable amount of hemorrhage on the underlying subcutaneous tissue as well as the strap muscles of the neck with a fracture of the right ala of the thyroid bone and with considerable amount of hemorrhage into the strap muscles surrounding it. The tongue is protruding and is held in situ by the teeth. There is a moderate amount of frothy red fluid that is seen exuding from the nostrils and mouth. There are ten lacerations of the scalp. Examination of the genitalia; the pubic hair is brown and matted. The vaginal orifice is dilated and contains abundant mucoid light tan to white material. The vaginal canal reveals no foreign bodies. The perineum reveals no other areas of laceration or contusion, excoriation, or abrasion of the labia majora or labia minora. The anus is markedly dilated and shows a surrounding hyperemic bright red glistening mucosa with 2» diameter dilated anal ring. The rectum reveals light brown soft fecal material well forted mass about 1 ½” above the anus. |
