Родился в г.Балаково Саратовской области. В 1968 году окончил исторический факультет МГУ им. М.В. Ломоносова. В 1972 году защитил кандидатскую диссертацию, а в 1982 году - докторскую. С 1994 года - профессор ИППК при МГУ, затем, с 1997 года, - директор Центра международных ...
