Речь здесь не только о сложности организма, но и о сложности наших мотиваций, о сложности социума, в котором мы живем. В нас по-прежнему соседствуют готовность пожертвовать собой и готовность обмануть, жажда открытия и корысть, гениальные прозрения и наивные заблуждения. Поэтому судьба медицины не предопределена. Мы можем сделать ее прозрачной и доказательной, а можем оставить такой, как сейчас, – ведь проще ничего не менять. Можем учиться на ошибках прошлого, а можем повторять их из поколения в поколение.

Будущее медицины – открыто и целиком зависит от нас.
